Pinterest Effect

Pinterest is the newest, up and coming social network site. Not only has it gained the attention of millions and grows at such a rapid speed but its revolutionizing the layout of websites.

So far, websites aim to simplify.  Pinterest has done the exact opposite. They flood you with tons of pictures from the getgo and expect you to navigate. When I first saw this layout I felt bombarded and overloaded. But once I started to move around the site, I began to enjoy the clutterness and picture overload. The idea of constant scrolling was starting to feel obsolete.

What Pinterest did was revolitionze the way websites are being made. They are embracing the idea that users are ready for information overload. And I agree. No More Scrolling!!
