Marketing or Self Promotion
I was reading a post by Lifehacker today and it was promoting the lifestyle of Time Ferris, author of The 4-Hour Workweek. The jist of article was showing readers how he gets things done in record time- his workspace, the apps he uses, method of completing a project etc. Randomly throughout the article there were quick droppings of his new book The 4-Hour Body. I started thinking- is this just a ‘random’ promotional tool? Was he really the one readers requested to here from (this was Lifehacker’s reason for featuring him)? If so then great- he’s made it. But if not, then it was a very clever way for Tim Ferris to hit his market and promote his book indirectly- or possibly directly. Either way, props to you Mr. Ferris!
