The Truth Hurts- Black Friday Savings are a Hoax

We look forward to this day all year- we’re able to buy items for rock bottom prices. So we think…

According to Business Insider and The WSJ, companies have such a high markup on their products that the ‘Black Friday sale’ price we think we’re getting it still bringing in much profits for the companies. The products we buy are so heavily marked up that companies have room to bring costs down to make it seem like we’re getting such a great deal. We’re actually buying the product on Black Friday for the price we should be paying all year. So in reality – we as consumers are getting ripped off all year!

To go even further, the WSJ says that some companies raise prices right before Black Friday to make it seem like the black friday sale is really saving you money.

Caveat emptor!
